An electrician measures one point at a time and reconstructs the problem mentally. An electrician, technician, or facility manager places several small XJEI devices at ordinary accessible points — and XJEI observes the electrical system simultaneously and reconstructs what is happening across it.

Place XJEI devices at accessible points across the premises — different rooms and areas, different circuits. Just plug them into a standard outlet — no panel access, no bare wires, no tools.
Observe
Leave them running for a few minutes — or hours, or days if the behavior calls for it. The system captures what actually happens, including the intermittent behavior that disappears whenever someone arrives to look at it.
Every XJEI location takes millions of measurements per second. Events too brief to appear on a conventional instrument are recorded rather than missed between readings.
Diagnose with evidence

Is it everywhere — or just here?
This is the question that decides where the work goes. Every device participates in the evaluation — XJEI reads each record as a sequence of electrical features, aligns them against each other, and synthesizes where the signature is shared and where it concentrates.
Shared signature
When the same feature sequence appears across devices that share little except a common source, the evidence points away from any single area, circuit, or piece of equipment — and toward something shared or upstream.
Localized signature
All devices still participate in the evaluation — but when the signature concentrates at a few of them and thins elsewhere, those devices localize the problem, and the search area shrinks from a whole property to a few square feet.
